Silicone Residue Removed from a Aluminum Panel with Di-Aqua
Below is an aluminum panel that was cut in half, sprayed with a silicone lubricant and then cleaned. One half was cleaned with Di-Aqua and the other with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and rinsed with DI water and dried. As you can clearly see, the panel that was cleaned with Di-Aqua contains no “fish-eyes” which are an excellent indicator of silicone contamination.
